UPDATED CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Further to the cautionary announcements dated 14 September 2009, 13 October
2009, 24 November 2009 and 8 January 2010, shareholders are advised that Link
Private Equity and Investments (Pty) Ltd ("Link"), the controlling shareholder
in Labat, is in advanced negotiations with an undisclosed third party to dispose
of its 45.7% shareholding in Labat (90 106 335 shares) at a price of 5 cents per
share. The final transaction will be conditional upon the disposal of South
African Micro-Electronic Systems (Pty) Ltd to Link at a price still to be
determined.
Full disclosure of the proposed transaction will be made once final agreement
has been reached.
Shareholders are accordingly advised to continue to exercise caution when
dealing in the company`s securities until a further announcement is made in this
regard.
