TRADING STATEMENT
Shareholders are advised that Basil Read expects its earnings per share for the
year ended 31 December 2009 to be between 10% and 25% higher compared to the
previously reported corresponding period.
Shareholders are further advised that Basil Read expects its headline earnings
per share for the year ended 31 December 2009 to be between 15% and 30% higher
compared to the previously reported corresponding period.
The effective date of the acquisition of TWP Holdings Limited (`TWP Group") was
21 December 2009. The results of the TWP Group will be consolidated into the
results of Basil Read at 31 December 2009 however the trading results of the TWP
Group had no impact on the trading results of Basil Read for the period ended 31
December 2009.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by Basil Read`s auditors.
The group`s results for the year ended 31 December 2009 will be published on or
about 11 March 2010.
