Trading statement
In terms of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, companies are required to
publish a trading statement as soon as they are reasonably certain that the
financial results for the current reporting period will be more than 20%
different than that of the prior comparative period.
Further to the above, Brimstone expects to report basic earnings per share of
between 125.4 cents to 150.4 cents, and headline earnings per share of between
120.5 cents to 144.6 cents for the year ended 31 December 2009, which is up from
the loss per share and headline loss per share of 46.6 cents and 33.0 cents
respectively reported for the year ended 31 December 2008.
This significant improvement in earnings is as a result of upward valuations of
the Group`s investments and substantial increase in dividend income.
Shareholders are advised that the above information has not been reviewed or
reported on by the Company`s auditors and that the Company`s results for the
year ended 31 December 2009 are expected to be published on or about 23 February
2010.
