DECLARED FINAL DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT ON ABSA GROUP LIMITED ENHANCED DIVIDEND
SECURITIES - ("ASAIDG")
With reference to the dividend announcement, the Directors of ABSA Group
Limited have declared a final dividend of 220 cents per ordinary share payable
on Monday, 15 March 2010 to ordinary shareholders, recorded in the books of
the company at the close of business on Friday, 12 March 2010.
Accordingly, the warrant holders of the Enhanced Dividend Securities, ASAIDG,
will receive an ABSA Group Limited final dividend of 220 cents per security on
Monday, 15 March 2010, in terms of the Cession clause incorporated in the
Supplement between the holders and Investec Bank Limited. The last day to
trade ("cum" the dividend) in order to participate in the dividend will be
Friday, 5 March 2010.
ASAIDG Enhanced Dividend Securities will commence trading "ex" the dividend
from the commencement of business on Monday, 8 March 2010, and the record date
will be Friday, 12 March 2010.
