In accordance with the requirements of paragraph 3.59 of the Listing
requirements of the JSE the following should be noted:
EXECUTIVE SUCCESSION
Shareholders are advised that Tim McClure current Executive responsible for
Island View Shipping, a subsidiary of Grindrod Limited, retires at the end of
July 2010.
The Grindrod Limited board has appointed Martyn Wade as his successor. Martyn
has 32 years international shipping experience and has worked for ship owners,
operators and brokers. He is respected and recognised in the shipping industry
world wide and was a member of the original Baltic Exchange for 10 years.
He assumes the position of Chief Operating Officer responsible for drybulk
shipping on 1 March 2010 and succeeds Tim at the end of July. Martyn will be
part of the Executive Committee of the group. He will however not serve as a
director of the listed company.
