DECLARED DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT ON SHOPRITE HOLDINGS LIMITED HOT ENHANCED
DIVIDEND SECURITIES - ("SHPIHB")
With reference to the dividend announcement, the Directors of Shoprite Holdings
Limited have declared a interim dividend of 80 cents per ordinary share payable
on Tuesday, 23 March 2010 to ordinary shareholders recorded in the books of the
company at the close of business on Friday, 19 March 2010.
Accordingly, the warrant holders of the Hot Enhanced Dividend Securities,
SHPIHB, will receive a Shoprite Holdings Limited interim dividend of 80 cents
per security payable on Tuesday, 23 March 2010 in terms of the Cession clause
incorporated in the Supplement between the holders and Investec Bank Limited.
The last day to trade ("cum" the dividend) in order to participate in the
dividend will be Friday, 12 March 2010.
SHPIHB Hot Enhanced Dividend Securities will commence trading "ex" the dividend
from the commencement of business on Monday, 15 March 2010, and the record date
will be Friday, 19 March 2010.
