The Company was notified on 11 March 2010 that Mr J B Stevens, an executive
director and a person discharging managerial responsibilities, had undertaken
the following transactions: (1) the sale of 10,000 ordinary shares of 25p each
in British American Tobacco p.l.c. ("Shares") on 4 March 2010 at a price of
2310.640p per Share; and (2) the sale of 2,786 Shares on 9 March 2010 at a price
of 2323.280p per Share.
Following this notification, Mr Stevens has a total beneficial and family
interest in 84,751 Shares (including 45,062 Deferred Shares).
