In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, the board of directors of Santam Limited ("the board") hereby notifies
its shareholders that Mr Jeremy Peter Rowse has resigned with effect from 19
March 2010 as a Non-Executive director in order to pursue other International
interests. Jeremy has served on the board since 20 November 2006. Management
and the Board take this opportunity of thanking Jeremy for his loyal and
dedicated contribution to the Group and wish him well in his future career.
