CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Shareholders are advised that Peter Baird and Alex Darko have been appointed
as independent non-executive directors of the company, with immediate effect.
Peter was previously president of DJO Incorporated, a portfolio company of the
Blackstone Group. Prior to that, he was a partner at McKinsey & Company and at
Brait Capital Partners.
Alex has been employed by AngloGold Ashanti Limited for the past thirteen
years in various management positions and is the current Chief Information
Officer responsible for the group`s information, knowledge and
telecommunications functions. Alex leaves AngloGold Ashanti Limited at the end
of April to work as an independent consultant.
Prior to joining AngloGold Ashanti Limited, Alex worked for the Dun &
Bradstreet Corporation in the UK in a number of roles including Director of
Finance- Europe Ltd and Director of Shared Services.
The appointments of Peter and Alex are welcomed by the board, which will
benefit from their corporate experience.
As part of the restructuring to the board, Noel Machingawuta has resigned from
the board with immediate effect. The board wishes to express their gratitude
to Noel for the role he has played in Buildworks since inception of the
company and wishes him well in his future.
