CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In accordance with Section 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements in
Respect of a change to the board of directors, Sycom unitholders are advised
That Mr Geoff Everingham has been appointed as independent non-executive
chairman of Sycom Property Fund Managers Limited, the management company
of Sycom, with effect from 24 March 2010.
Geoff has been Professor of Accounting at UCT since 1986 and is a well known
author on accounting and corporate governance matters. He has served as a
director of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront Company, and currently serves on
the board of Transnet, where he is acting Chairman. He previously chaired
Transnet`s audit committee and is a member of the risk and governance
committees. Geoff has served on the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors,
the Accounting Practices Committee of the SA Institute of Chartered Accountants,
and on the JSE`s GAAP Monitoring Panel.
The Board welcomes Geoff as its new Chairman and looks forward to his
association with the Fund.
