British American Tobacco p.l.c. (the "Company") made its Preliminary
Announcement of its audited results in respect of the year ended 31 December
2009 (the "Preliminary Announcement") on 25 February 2010. The Preliminary
Announcement included the information required by Disclosure and Transparency
Rule 6.3.5.
The Company now reports that the following documents are being mailed to its
shareholders (as applicable) today, Friday 26 March 2010, and will be also
available on the British American Tobacco website as indicated:

Two copies of each of the above documents will be submitted to the UK Listing
Authority ("UKLA") and will then be available for inspection at the UKLA`s
Document Viewing Facility which is situated at: Financial Services Authority
("FSA"), 25 The North Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London E14 5HS (Tel: 020 7676
1000).
In addition, the Notice of Annual General Meeting 2010 includes a resolution to
adopt new articles of association. Copies of the new articles of association
will be forwarded to the UKLA/FSA in accordance with Disclosure and Transparency
Rule 6.1.2 and are also available on the British American Tobacco website at
www.bat.com/AGM.
