SETTLEMENT AND LISTING DATE
The settlement date and listing date of Optimum Coal will be Monday, 29 March
2010.
With reference to the prospectus, dated 11 March 2010, and the announcement
released on SENS on 25 March 2010, relating to the private placement price,
investors are informed that in connection with the offer for sale of and
subscription in Optimum Coal ordinary shares and pursuant to potential
stabilisation action, the bookrunners over-alloted 5,000,000 ordinary shares of
R0.000005 each in the share capital of Optimum Coal. Investors are reminded that
the stabilising manager, FirstRand Limited, may effect transactions which may
support the market price of Optimum Coal ordinary shares at a level higher than
that which might otherwise prevail for a limited period after the listing date.
However, there is no such obligation on the stabilising manager to do so. Such
stabilising action may under no circumstances continue beyond the 30th calendar
day after the listing date.
