The board is pleased to advise shareholders that the appointment of Mr Chris
Lister-James to the board of directors of Spescom Limited was approved by
shareholders at the annual general meeting held on 14 April 2010 and Mr
Lister-James will therefore be joining the board as non-executive director
with effect from 14 April 2010.
Mr Lister-James, a qualified CA (SA), is an Executive Director and co-founder
of Vantage Capital Group (Pty) Limited ("Vantage Capital") which owns 25,4% of
Spescom Limited. He has a long standing track record in structured finance and
private equity in the South African financial services sector. The board will
benefit from Mr Lister-James`s experience in the technology industry. He is
currently involved in the management of the Vantage Capital technology fund
and serves as a non-executive director of Vox Telecom Limited, Law Holdings
(Pty) Limited and Comcorp Group (Pty) Limited.
