Announcement of Telkom`s Change in Directors
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 (b) of the JSE Listings Requirements, and
in accordance with the articles of association of Telkom, shareholders are
informed that Mr B Molefe has resigned as a non-executive director (Class B
Shareholder representative) of the board of Telkom with effect from 20 April
2010, as a result of the end of his employment contract with the Public
Investment Corporation Limited.
Shareholders are further advised that in accordance with the company`s
articles of association, Mr Younaid Waja has been appointed as a non-executive
director (Class B Shareholder representative) on the Board of Telkom with
effect from 20 April 2010.In terms of the company`s articles of association,
the appointment of Mr Younaid Waja is made by the Public Investment Corporation
Limited, Telkom`s Class B shareholder
Mr Younaid Waja is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Tax and Business
Consultant. He currently enjoys membership of various Boards and Committees
of organisations such as Blue IQ Ltd, Imperial Holdings Ltd, Pareto Ltd,
Diablo Share Trust, Public Investment Corporation, APF Chartered Accountant
Inc, and the Income Tax Special Court.
The Board of Telkom thanks Mr Molefe for his contribution and counsel during
his tenure, wishes him every success in the future and welcomes Mr Younaid
Waja to the Board.
Shareholders are further advised that Mr David Barber has resigned from the
Board of Telkom with effect from 20 April 2010. The Board of Telkom thanks
Mr Barber for his contribution and counsel during his tenure as a Board
member of the company and wishes him great success in his future endeavours.
