TRADING STATEMENT
Shareholders are advised that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that
Astral Foods` earnings and headline earnings per share for the six months
ended 31 March 2010 will reflect an increase in the range of 15% to 20% as
against the comparable period.
The improvement in earnings is mainly due to improved operating profit and
reduced finance cost.
This financial information on which this trading statement is based has not
been reviewed and reported on by Astral Foods` auditors.
It is expected that the results for the six months to 31 March 2010 will be
published on 17 May 2010.
