APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS
The board is pleased to announce the appointments of Jenitha John and Mamoroke
Lehobye as independent non-executive directors to the boards of Business
Connexion Group Limited and Business Connexion (Pty) Limited, with effect from 1
May 2010.
Jenitha is the chief audit executive of the FirstRand Group and has held senior
audit positions in the private and public sectors. She is a non-executive
director and chairs the audit committees of Tongaat Hulett and Umgeni Water.
Mamoroke is the managing director and co-founder of professional services
business, Basadi in Motion. She was previously a director of internal audit
firm, Sekela, and has held senior financial management positions in large
corporates. She serves on the audit committee of the National Treasury and on
the boards of the Institute of Directors, Institute of Internal Auditors and the
SA Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Both directors will serve on the group`s Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee,
while Mamoroke will also serve on the Remuneration and Nominations Committee.
The BCX board now comprises seven non-executive and two executive directors. The
new appointments have further enhanced the transformation profile of the board,
with 67% of the directors being black and 44% female.
