Investigation by Competition Commission
Shareholders are advised that the Competition Commission has launched an
investigation into certain alleged prohibited practices in the power cable
market against South Ocean Electric Wire Company (Pty) Limited ("SOEW") , a
wholly owned subsidiary of South Ocean Holdings and three other competitors.
SOEW management are co-operating fully with the authorities and view the
allegations made by the Competition Commission in a serious light and will
consult with our legal advisors.
