APPOINTMENT OF FINANCIAL DIRECTOR
In accordance with rules 3.59 and 3.84(h) of the Listings Requirements of the
JSE Limited, shareholders of the Company are hereby advised that Mr. Van Zyl
Botha ("Van Zyl"), has been appointed as the Financial Director of the
Company with effect from Thursday, 6 May 2010.
After qualifying as a chartered accountant, Van Zyl founded a financial
consulting firm focused on the mining industry. He consulted for dual listed
mining companies and was involved in government consulting at the Department
of Defence through the office of the Auditor General. He joined R&E in 2006
to assist with accounting and forensic requirements and was subsequently
appointed as Group Financial Manager and Chief Financial Officer on 1 August
2009.
The board of R&E welcomes the appointment of Van Zyl as the Financial
Director of the Company and looks forward to his valued contributions.
