TRADING UPDATE & WITHDRAWAL OF CAUTIONARY
In accordance with paragraph 3.4 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited ("JSE"), a listed company is required to publish a trading statement
as soon as it becomes aware, with a reasonable degree of certainty, that the
financial results for the next period to be reported on are likely to vary by
more than 20% from the previous corresponding period.
Shareholders are referred to the trading statement released on the JSE
Securities Exchange News Service ("SENS")on 30 March 2010 when the Company was
unable to quantify with reasonable certainty, the expected range of the
improved loss for the 12 months ended 28 February 2010.
African Brick now wishes to advise shareholders that the Company`s loss per
share for the financial year ended 28 February 2010 ("the 2010 financial
year") is expected to be between 4.9 cents and 5.9 cents per share compared to
26.5 cents per share as reported in the previous corresponding period.
Headline loss per share for the 2010 financial year is expected to be between
3.7 cents and 4.5 cents per share compared to a loss of 12.7 cents per share
reported in the previous corresponding period.
Shareholders are also referred to the cautionary contained in the same
announcement released on SENS on 30 March 2010 and are advised that they no
longer need to exercise caution when dealing in their African Brick
securities.
It is anticipated that the financial results for the year ended 28 February
2010 will be published on or about 31 May 2010.
The financial information on which this trading update is based has not been
