Trading update
In terms of the Listing Requirements of the JSE Limited ("JSE requirements"),
companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they become
reasonably certain that the financial results for the period to be reported on
will be more than 20% different from that of the previous corresponding period.
Shareholders are referred to the previous trading update released on SENS on 1
April 2010, and advised that management has obtained a further degree of
certainty in terms of rule 3.4(b)(iii) of the JSE requirements.
Accordingly, a review of the financial results by management has indicated that
for the year ending 28 February 2010, earnings per share (EPS) and headline
earnings per share (HEPS) for the group are expected to be 4.12 and 4.13 cents
respectively compared to 19.87 and 20.06 cents for the same reporting period
last year.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by the Group`s auditors. The results for the year
ending 28 February 2010 remain on track to be published on or around 28 May
2010.
