MD transitions to Non Executive Director Role
Firestone Energy Limited (ASX/JSE: FSE) announced today that Mr John Wallington,
the company`s managing director, will be stepping down from this position with
effect from 15 June 2010. Mr Wallington has overseen the bankable feasibility
study (BFS) and related negotiations for the company`s Waterberg coal project.
The BFS is on track for completion in July 2010 and it is expected to show that,
subject to market requirements, a viable mine can be established.
Mr Wallington will continue to be a board member and will devote such time as is
necessary to complete the BFS. The board is engaged in finding a suitable
managing director to advance the company into the production stage.
Fellow Firestone director John Dreyer said today, "We are grateful for John`s
diligent contribution to this exciting project, and we are pleased that he will
remain on the board where we will still have access to his vast experience in
the coal sector."
