APPOINTMENT OF THE CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Merafe Resources is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Joyce Matlala as
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with effect from 1 October 2010. Ms Matlala was
appointed as an independent non-executive director to the board of directors
("the board") in 2005.
Ms Matlala is a chartered accountant and is currently Group Financial Director
of Kagiso Investments (Pty) Ltd, a position which she has held since 1 January
2006. She previously served as CFO and Executive Manager: Private Sector and
International at the Development Bank of Southern Africa from January 2002 to
December 2005. Prior to that, Ms Matlala was head of Wholesale Venture Capital
Funds for the Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa Limited and an
Audit Supervisor at Arthur Andersen & Co.
Ms Matlala is also a non-executive director on the boards of Gold Reef Resorts
Limited, Business Partners Limited and Metropolitan Holdings Limited.
The board wishes her well in her new role as CFO.
