CHANGES TO DIRECTORATE
In compliance with section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited,
Palabora hereby announces the following appointment to its Board of Directors:
With effect from 31 May 2010, the resignation of Ms Kay S. Priestly as non-
executive director.
With effect from 1 June 2010, the appointment of Mrs. Jo-Ann Yuen as non-
executive director. Mrs. Jo-Ann Yuen is an Australian based in Rio Tinto`s Salt
Lake City office. Mrs. Yuen is currently an Alternate director at Palabora and
Chief Financial Advisor for the Rio Tinto Copper group. Prior to her current
role, Mrs Yuen was the Chief Financial Officer of Copper Projects based in
Vancouver and previous to that, Finance Executive for the Copper group based in
London (Borax and Dampier both Rio Tinto business). Mrs. Yuen joined the Rio
Tinto group in 1995 and has worked for Rio Tinto Minerals, the London corporate
office and the Copper group.
Prior to joining the Rio Tinto group, from1991 to 1995 Mrs. Yuen worked in the
audit function of Coopers and Lybrand Perth.
Mrs. Yuen is a chartered accountant and holds a Bcomm and MBA degrees from the
University of Western Australia, together with a diploma in applied finance from
the Financial Services Institute of Australia.
