APPOINTMENT OF NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
In accordance with rule 3.59 (a) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, the board takes great pleasure in announcing the appointment of Mr.
Sean Joseph Flanagan ("Sean"), as the new chief executive officer of Erbacon,
with immediate effect.
Sean brings more than 27 year`s industry-specific experience to Erbacon, the
last 20 of which he served with the Murray & Roberts group where he was
Executive Director.
He is recognised and highly regarded throughout the industry for his strong and
definitive leadership, exceptional negotiating skills, and keen ability to
identify and develop opportunities.
His key achievements have been in the setting and implementing of group
strategy, arranging and leading mergers and acquisitions, and taking executive
responsibility for a large portfolio of businesses and major projects, including
the Gautrain Rapid Rail and Cape Town Stadium projects.
The board welcomes the appointment of Sean and looks forward to his contribution
to the Erbacon group.
Outgoing chief executive officer, David Boyd Erskine ("Dave"), will remain an
executive director of Erbacon and has elected to focus his attention as Managing
Director of the businesses he founded, Erbacon Construction (Pty) Limited and
Erbacon Small Plant (Pty) Limited. The board wishes to thank Dave for his
valued contributions during his tenure as chief executive officer of the
Company.
