As part of the dual listed company structure, Investec plc and Investec Limited
notify both the London Stock Exchange and the JSE Limited of matters which are
required to be disclosed under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules and the
Listing Rules of the United Kingdom Listing Authority (the "UKLA") and/or the
JSE Listing Requirements.
Accordingly, we advise of the following:
ADDITIONAL LISTINGS - INVESTEC PLC AND INVESTEC LIMITED
Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock
Exchange for an additional listing of 777,114 Investec plc ordinary shares of
GBP0.0002 each (the "plc New Ordinary Shares") to trade on the London Stock
Exchange and to be admitted to the Official List upon issuance. The shares will
rank pari passu with the existing issued shares of Investec plc.
Pursuant to the dual listed company structure, Investec plc has also applied to
the JSE Limited for the admission to trading of the plc New Ordinary Shares.
The additional listing is pursuant to the exercise of vested options by staff of
share options under the Investec plc Share Option Plan 2002 and the Investec plc
Share Matching Plan 2005.
At the same time, Investec Limited applied to the JSE Limited for the admission
to trading of 107,848 Investec Limited ordinary shares of ZAR0.0002 each (the
"Limited New Ordinary Shares"), pursuant to the exercise of vested options by
staff of share options under the Investec Limited Security Purchase and Option
Scheme 2002 Trust.
It is expected that trading in both the Investec plc and Limited New Ordinary
Shares will commence on the 04 June 2010.
