CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In accordance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, the company announces the following changes to the board:
- Colin Kenneth Leman Scott has been appointed as an independent non-
executive director of AMAP with effect from 1 July 2010. Colin, with 39
years retail experience, started one of South Africa`s first discount
stores in Braamfontein in 1964. In 1970 he was instrumental and a
founding director of Dion Discount Centres. In 1975, he opened Stax Store
which was bought by Metro Cash & Carry. Colin was appointed managing
director of Metro Trade Centre and Stax in November 1991 until his
retirement in April 2001.
- Willem Adriaan du Plessis and Steven Alan Levitt have both resigned as
non-executive directors of AMAP with effect from 30 June 2010. The board
thanks Rian and Steven for their contribution and advice over the years.
