Board Announcement: Loss of Executive Director
It is with great sadness that the board of directors of Excellerate ("the
Board") advises of the death of Mr Harold Benjamin Bloch. Mr. Bloch passed
away on Tuesday, 22 June 2010 after a suffering from an untimely and
devastating illness.
Mr Bloch was appointed to the Board as an executive director of the company
on 18 September 1998, after the successful sale of his business, Goldenmarc
(Proprietary) Limited ("Goldenmarc") to Excellerate. Mr. Bloch also served as
the Managing Director of Goldenmarc and as a director of Excelltrade
(Proprietary) Limited.
Mr. Bloch served both the group and company with loyalty and passion,
providing sound leadership and guidance to those around him within the
Goldenmarc Group of Companies, as well as to the Board. His sound values,
principles and deep religious convictions with which he served has been an
inspiration to all within the Group, and he will be sorely missed.
The Board wishes to express its appreciation for Harold`s commitment and
invaluable contributions to the Group over the years, and to extend its
deepest condolences to the Bloch Family and friends and wishes them strength
during this difficult time.
