APPOINTMENT OF COMPANY SECRETARY
In compliance with the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders are
advised that Mr. James Geoffrey Pyle has been appointed as the Company Secretary
of Famous Brands, with effect from 12 March 2010.
Geoff completed his accounting articles at Ernst & Young before qualifying as a
Chartered Accountant in 1991. From 1992 to 2006 Geoff was employed with the
Edcon Group where he held various financial positions including Group Executive
Treasury. He is well versed in all aspects of retail financial management,
inclusive of treasury, tax, management accounting, company secretarial,
insurance and risk management. In the three years prior to his Famous Brands
appointment he consulted to a number of clients on a freelance basis. He has
experience as a trustee of both the Edcon Provident Fund and Edcon Medical Aid
respectively.
