Director appointments
Further to the announcement of 24th June 2010, British American Tobacco p.l.c.
(the "Company"), in accordance with paragraph 9.6.13(1) of the UK Listing
Authority Listing Rules, confirms that:-
1. Mr Kieran Poynter, who has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of
the Company with effect from 1st July 2010, has been a Director of F&C
Asset Management PLC, a publicly quoted company, since 1st June 2009. He
has no previous appointments as a Director of publicly quoted companies
during the previous five years; and
2. Mr John Daly, who has been appointed an Executive Director of the Company
with effect from 1st September 2010, was a Director of ITC Limited, a
publicly quoted company in India, from 21st January 2005 to 8th December
2008. He is not currently a Director of any publicly quoted company.
There are no matters required by paragraphs 9.6.13(2) to (6) of the Listing
Rules to be disclosed by either Mr Poynter or Mr Daly.
