RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS
Notification made in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
1. The Company was notified on 7 July 2010 that on 6 July 2010 Mr N R
Withington, a person discharging managerial responsibility, acquired 231
ordinary shares of 25p each in British American Tobacco p.l.c. (the
"Shares") at a price of 2137.395 pence per Share as a result of the
reinvestment of income by his ISA Manager.
2. The Company was notified on 7 July 2010 by the trustee of the British
American Tobacco Employee Share Ownership Plan that on 7 July 2010 the
following executive directors and other persons discharging managerial
responsibility (together the "Participants") had purchased ordinary shares
of 25p each in British American Tobacco p.l.c. (the "Shares") by way of the
Partnership Share Scheme at a price of 2160.95 pence per Share.
