TRADING STATEMENT
Trading statement:
In terms of rule 3.4(b) of the JSE Listings Requirements, a listed company is
required to publish a trading statement as soon as a reasonable degree of
certainty exists that the financial results for the next reporting period to be
reported on will differ by at least 20% from those of the previous corresponding
period.
In this regard diluted / undiluted headline and basic earnings per share for the
year ended 30 June 2010, which include the costs and effects of the BEE deal
concluded in the prior year, are anticipated to be between 25% and 30% higher
than the previous year. The prior year included certain one-off costs in
relation to the BEE transaction.
Normalised headline earnings per share, which excludes the costs and effects of
the BEE deal, are however anticipated to be between 0% and 5% lower than the
previous financial year.
The information on which this trading statement has been based has not been
reviewed or reported on by the group`s auditors and it is anticipated that the
reviewed results will be released on SENS on or about 12 August 2010.
