APPOINTMENT TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In accordance with rule 3.59(a) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited,
shareholders of the Company are hereby advised that Mr. Trevor Hayter ("Trevor")
has been appointed as a non-executive director and as member of the audit and
risk committee of the Company, with effect from today, 26 July 2010.
Trevor takes the place of Dr Hertzog whose position was left vacant by his
resignation on Monday, 7 June 2010.
Trevor has extensive experience in banking, FX risk management (financial and
market risk), interest rate risk management and liquidity risk management.
Furthermore, he has substantial general management and business experience -
having had a solid 10 years in the corporate (Banking) world. Trevor has been an
entrepreneur for more than 20 years, having been party to starting many
different businesses. In addition to being the Chairman of Iquad Treasury
Solutions (Pty) Ltd, he also serves on the boards of various other companies.
The board welcomes the appointment of Trevor and looks forward to his valued
contribution.
