Trading Statement
Country Bird Holdings shareholders are advised that as a result of difficult
trading conditions in the South African poultry industry, the Company expects
that its earnings per share for the year ended 30 June 2010 will be between 40
and 45 cents lower than the 65 cents per share for the year ended 30 June 2009
and that headline earnings per share for the year ended 30 June 2010 will be
between 28 and 33 cents lower than the 57 cents per share for the year ended 30
June 2009.
Adjusted earnings per share, after removing the affect of non-recurring items
such as the fair value adjustments on the Sovereign Foods investment, will be
between 15 and 20 cents lower than the 47 cents per share for the previous year.
This trading statement has not been reviewed or reported on by the company`s
external auditors. The results for the year ended 30 June 2010 will be released
on or about 25th August 2010.
