TERMINATION OF MERGER DISCUSSIONS
Following several weeks of exploration, shareholders are advised that Mercantile
and Sasfin have agreed to terminate discussions regarding a proposed merger.
Accordingly, Sasfin shareholders are no longer required to exercise caution when
dealing in their Sasfin shares.
Mercantile will now resume their BEE discussions and Mercantile shareholders are
accordingly required to continue to exercise caution when dealing in their
Mercantile shares until a further announcement is made in this regard.
