APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
In compliance with rule 3.59 (b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the
board of directors of RGT SMART is pleased to announce that Mr Trevor Bertram
Hayter has been appointed as independent non-executive director to RGT SMART`s
board of directors with immediate effect.
Trevor Hayter`s commitment to entrepreneurial business development started when
he left corporate banking in 1990 to set up his own Foreign Exchange Risk
Management company. Initially a one man consultancy, under Trevor`s strategic
direction and skillful management, the company developed rapidly into the
leading provider of outsourced treasury services in South Africa that it still
is today.
Through a number of strategic acquisitions, Trevor`s vision, of creating a group
of companies that works in partnership with its clients to the mutual benefit of
all, was realized, when, as part of a consortium with the PSG Group, he was
instrumental in establishing IQuad Group Limited ("IQuad"), a specialist
financial services company. In 2007, as CEO, he steered the Group to a
successful listing on the Alternative Exchange of the Johannesburg Stock
Exchange and is non-executive chairman of IQuad.
In addition to his considerable business acumen and experience, Trevor applies
his expertise in the areas of financial risk management, marketing and human
resource management to benefit the companies under his direction.
With a B Com through UNISA and professional qualifications obtained through the
Institute of Bankers and the Institute of Financial Markets, Trevor`s early
career at a leading corporate Bank saw him become a senior Treasury Manager
while still in his twenties. His passion for innovation and entrepreneurial
energy drove him to start his own business before he turned thirty.
The board of directors of RGT SMART look forward to Mr Hayter`s experience,
knowledge and contribution to the board.
