In accordance with the requirements of paragraph 3.59 of the Listing
requirements of the JSE the following should be noted:
RESTRUCTURE OF EXECUTIVE
The Grindrod Group is pleased to announce a restructure of its
Executive Committee. Tony Stewart will assume responsibility for the
Trading Division from Brendan McIlmurray who retires on 30 June 2011.
Brendan joined the Group when Oreport was acquired and was
subsequently appointed chief executive of the Trading Division. Tony
has performed the Finance Director role for the past seven years and
will be succeeded by Andrew Waller effective 1 March 2011. Andrew is
currently a partner of Deloitte & Touche.
Andrew will join the Group on 1 January 2011 which will ensure that
there is adequate time for a proper and orderly hand over of both the
Trading and Finance roles in the months ahead. These changes are being
implemented in terms of a well defined succession planning process
within the group.
