ANNOUNCEMENT TO PERPETUAL PREFERENCE SHAREHOLDERS
We refer to the announcement released on 7 September 2010 as well as the
communication contained therein regarding the introduction of dividends tax and
the potential impact thereof on the perpetual preference shares issued by
Steinhoff Investments.
In this regard, the date on which dividends tax becomes effective was
erroneously included as 1 January 2011. This date will be determined by the
Minister of Finance by notice in the Government Gazette in due course.
Therefore, the amendments will only apply to any dividend declared and paid on
or after the date so determined.
