TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS AND SHARES IN ISSUE
The Company`s issued ordinary share capital currently comprises 5,683,700,123
ordinary shares of 10p each including 239,434,888 shares that are held in
treasury. Therefore, in accordance with Rule 5.6.1R of the Disclosure and
Transparency Rules, the total number of voting rights for the purposes of
calculating disclosable interests in the Company`s ordinary share capital is
5,444,265,235.
The Company is making block listing returns relating to shares issued under
employee share plans to the UK Listing Authority covering the period from 22
October 2009 to 10 September 2010. Changes to the number of shares in issue
since 21 October 2009 (including other changes already announced to market) are
made up as follows:
