TREASURY SHARES - TRANSFER
In accordance with Listing Rule 12.6.4 Anglo American plc announces that on 20
September 2010, 5,700 shares were transferred out of the Company`s holding of
treasury shares in order to satisfy maturing share options under the Company`s
ESOS plan and on 21 September 2010, 3,699 shares were transferred out of the
Company`s holding of treasury shares in order to satisfy maturing share options
under the Company`s SAYE plan.
Following the transfer, Anglo American plc has a total of 23,391,196 ordinary
shares held in treasury and a total of 1,319,540,092 ordinary shares in issue,
excluding treasury shares.
