CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Shareholders are advised that Richard Wilkes has notified the board that he will
be resigning as chief executive officer of Macadams International (Proprietary)
Limited ("Macadams") and from the board of Universal, with effect from 31
December 2010, having fulfilled his three year contractual commitment to
Universal.
The board of Universal would like to thank Richard for his valuable contribution
to the group, and wish him well for the future.
The board is pleased to announce that Shane McMeeking, currently the managing
director of Macadams SA Sales Division, who has been with Macadams since 1989,
will be appointed as chief executive officer of Macadams. Shane is well known
and respected in the industry and has been part of the senior executive
management team as a director of Macadams for more than 10 years.
The Board congratulates Shane on his appointment and looks forward to his
continued contribution to the success of the group.
