TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are required
to publish a Trading Statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that
the financial results for the period to be reported on next will differ by more
than 20% from those of the previous corresponding period.
The board of directors of London Finance & Investment Group P.L.C. advises that
its earnings per share for the year ended 30 June 2010 are expected to increase
by between 100 - 120% and headline earnings per share for the year ended 30 June
2010 are expected to decrease by 0.3p.
As a result of a review of accounting policies regarding the investment in our
associated company, Western Selection P.L.C., and our strategic investments, the
comparative figures for 2009 have been restated and the above changes are based
on those restated figures. Full details of this will be set out in the annual
report and accounts for the year.
Shareholders are advised that the content of this statement and the financial
information it is based on has not been reviewed and reported on by the
company`s auditors. London Finance & Investment Group P.L.C will release its
preliminary results for the year ended 30 June 2010 on or about 27 September
2010.
