TRADING STATEMENT FOR THE SIX MONTH ENDED 31 AUGUST 2010
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited ("JSE"), companies
are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied
that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that the financial results for
the period to be reported on will differ by 20% or more from the financial
results for the previous corresponding period.
Shareholders are advised that the earnings per share ("EPS") and the headline
earnings per share ("HEPS") for the six months ended 31 August 2010 are expected
to be more than 40% higher than the EPS and HEPS for the prior corresponding
period. However, should the impact of the change in accounting estimates as
detailed in the 2010 Annual Report, be excluded from the prior period then the
normalised fully diluted headline earnings per share for the six months ended 31
August 2010 is expected to be more than 50% lower than the prior corresponding
period.
Shareholders are advised that the above information has not been reviewed or
reported on by the company`s auditors.
The results for the six months ended 31 August 2010 are expected to be published
on SENS on or about 25 October 2010.
