CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited,
the board of directors of White Water Resources ("the board") hereby notifies
its shareholders of the following changes:
- Mr Hylton Cochrane has resigned as an independent non-executive director
of the company with effect from 21 September 2010. The board thanks Mr
Cochrane for his dedicated service and contribution to White Water
Resources and wishes him well for the future; and
- Messrs Peter Van Zyl and Charles Pettit have been appointed as independent
non-executive directors of the company with effect from 22 September 2010
and 23 September 2010, respectively.
Peter matriculated from Bishops Diocesan College and completed a BCom at
UNISA, obtaining a distinction in Accounting and Financial Management.
Peter has wide-ranging operational experience in Financial Management, has
held a number of positions as Financial Director and has extensive
entrepreneurial experience. He was involved in founding and growing a
number of ICT companies for the Saratoga Group in South Africa, the United
States of America and the United Kingdom. Between 2004 and 2009, Peter held
the position of Senior Executive at Sekunjalo Group, where he initially
acted as an executive on the Financial team, restructuring the Financial
systems of the group and its numerous subsidiaries and subsequently, moved
to commercial director where he headed up all commercial aspects of the
group, including a number of significant transactions. In 2009, Peter
joined AfrAsia Corporate Finance ("ACF"), a niche, independent corporate
adviser providing M&A, restructuring and strategic advisory to clients
across the SADC region. ACF is an associate company of AfrAsia Bank
Limited, a boutique bank headquartered in the Mauritian International
Financial Services Centre.
Charles graduated from the University of Cape Town with a First Class
Honours degree in Finance and subsequently qualified as a CFA
charterholder. Charles is the Managing Director of ACF, which he joined in
June 2009. Prior to founding ACF, Charles was a director of Trinity Asset
Management (Proprietary) Limited for two years, before which he worked for
Close Brothers Corporate Finance in London. Charles has extensive corporate
finance experience in the United Kingdom, South Africa and Mauritius which
includes acquisitions, disposals, IPOs, fundraisings, BEE transactions and
corporate restructurings.
