TREASURY SHARES - TRANSFER
In accordance with Listing Rule 12.6.4 Anglo American plc announces that on 28
September 2010, 28,022 shares were transferred out of the Company`s holding of
treasury shares in order to satisfy maturing share options under the Company`s
ESOS and SAYE plans and on 29 September 2010, 10,000 shares were transferred
out of the Company`s holding of treasury shares in order to satisfy maturing
share options under the Company`s ESOS plan.
Following the transfer, Anglo American plc has a total of 23,353,174 ordinary
shares held in treasury and a total of 1,319,578,114 ordinary shares in issue,
excluding treasury shares.
