TRAMMING ACCIDENT CLAIMS LIFE OF TAU LEKOA EMPLOYEE
Simmers regrets to announce that an employee was fatally injured at the Tau
Lekoa mine on 3 October 2010 following an accident that occurred during
tramming operations. Simmers extends its heartfelt condolences to the family
of the deceased during this difficult time.
The Company remains fully committed to creating an accident free environment
for all employees. Simmers is cooperating fully with the Department of Mineral
Resources in its investigation.
It is expected that the unfortunate incident will have a minimal impact on
production.
