TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are required
to publish a trading statement as soon as they become aware that the financial
results for the period to be reported upon next will differ by at least 20% from
the financial results for the previous corresponding period.
Shareholders of Brait are advised that the Company expects its earnings per
share ("eps") and headline earnings per share ("heps") for the six months ended
30 September 2010 to be between 40% and 50% higher than the reported eps and
heps for the corresponding six months ended 30 September 2009, which were as
follows:
Basic eps and heps: 72.8 ZAR cents
Diluted eps and heps: 72.7 ZAR cents
The financial information on which this trading statement has been based has not
been reviewed and reported on by the Company`s auditors.
The interim financial results of the Company for the six months ended 30
September 2010 are currently being prepared and are expected to be published on
or about 29 October 2010.
