APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR
Standard Bank Group announces the resignation of Deputy Chairman Kaisheng Yang,
who was nominated to the board by the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China
("ICBC") in 2008.
The board would like to thank Mr. Yang for his invaluable contribution to the
group.
The board is pleased to announce the appointment of Hongli Zhang (45) as
director and Deputy Chairman with immediate effect. Mr. Zhang, currently Senior
Executive Vice President of ICBC, has recently assumed responsibility for the
relationship between ICBC and the Standard Bank Group.
