DISTRIBUTION FINALISATION ANNOUNCEMENT                                          
1.   Distribution                                                               
Further to the announcement on 2 September 2010, holders of NewFunds        
    Shariah 40 securities are advised that a distribution will be made to       
    holders of NewFunds Shariah 40 securities in respect of the quarter ended   
    30 September 2010.                                                          
This distribution will:                                                     
    -    be 1.00 cent per NewFunds Shariah 40 security comprised entirely of    
         non-purified dividends (refer to paragraph 2 below);                   
    -    be made to all holders of NewFunds Shariah 40 securities recorded in   
the register on Thursday, 23 September 2010; and be effected on        
         Wednesday, 20 October 2010.                                            
2.   Purification of dividends                                                  
    The appropriate purification of dividends, through the donation of 5% of    
the dividends to charity, is to be effected by each investor.  Absa         
    Islamic Banking`s Shari`ah Supervisory Board (SSB) has provided the         
    following list of approved charitable institutions. The list is not         
    exhaustive and it is therefore not obligatory to use one of the specified   
charities.
