RESULTS OF THE FIFTEENTH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS
At the fifteenth 15th annual general meeting of the shareholders of AFGRI held
today, 15 October 2010, all the ordinary and special resolutions proposed in the
notice to shareholders were approved by the requisite majority of votes.
The special resolution will be lodged for registration with Companies and
Intellectual Property Registration Office in due course.
In compliance with the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, AFGRI also announces
the following change to its Board:
Mr DD de Beer reached the mandatory retirement age during the current financial
year and retires from the board as at 15 October 2010, after four years of
service.
Messrs JJ Claassen, JJ Fereira, and FJ van der Merwe retired by rotation did not
offer themselves for re-election. Mr Claassen served on the board for 22 years,
Mr Ferreira for 12 years and Mr Van der Merwe for 10 years.
The Board expresses its gratitude towards these four members for their valued
contributions and wishes them well in all future endeavours.
