DECLARATION OF A SPECIAL DIVIDEND
Notice is hereby given that the board of directors has declared a special
dividend of 150 cents per share, payable to ordinary shareholders on Monday, 22
November 2010, subject to approval by the Exchange Control Department of the
South African Reserve Bank. The board has decided that it was appropriate to
declare a special dividend in view of the cash on hand pursuant to the disposal
of several of the businesses and properties in the last two years.
The last date to trade "cum" dividend in order to participate in the dividend
will be Friday, 12 November 2010. The ordinary shares of the Company will
commence trading "ex" dividend from the commencement of business on Monday, 15
November 2010 and the record date will be Friday, 19 November 2010.
No dematerialisation or rematerialisation of share certificates may take place
between Monday, 15 November 2010 and Friday, 19 November 2010, both days
inclusive.
A further announcement regarding the receipt of SARB approval will be made by no
later than 5 November 2010.
